Draft — review before launch
Template text, not legal advice. Fill in the highlighted placeholders and have it reviewed for your jurisdiction before going live.
This policy explains what personal data Seeder collects, why, and who it is shared with. Last updated: [DATE].
1.Who is responsible
The data controller is [BUSINESS ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY]. Privacy questions: see the contact page or write to [PRIVACY EMAIL].
2.Data we store
- Account: your name, email address and a hashed password (we cannot read your password).
- Security: IP addresses, used for rate limiting, fraud prevention and protecting accounts.
- Orders: the links, quantities and any comments or usernames you submit, plus order status and history.
- Payments: payment metadata such as amount, currency, status and the processor's reference. Card numbers and wallet credentials are handled by the payment processor; we do not store them.
- API: your API key and the requests made with it.
3.Why we use it
To run your account and orders, credit payments, prevent fraud and abuse, answer support requests and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
4.Who we share it with
- Payment processors (card and crypto), to take deposits. They receive what is needed to process the payment, such as the amount and an order reference.
- Fulfilment providers receive the order link, quantity and any comments you submit, never your email or password.
- Hosting providers that store data on our behalf: [HOSTING PROVIDER / REGION].
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
5.Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Payment pages run by processors may set their own cookies.
6.How long we keep it
Account and order data are kept while your account is open and for [RETENTION PERIOD] after it is closed. Payment and ledger records are kept as long as accounting law requires.
7.Your rights
Depending on where you live you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Contact us and we will reply within [RESPONSE TIME]. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
8.Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted and access to stored data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure.
9.Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
